Question 236056
Write an equation for the line parrallel to
the line 6y=5 through the point (4,-4)?
---------------
The line 6y = 5 can be written y = (5/6)
This line has zero slope. It is parallel
to the x-axis and passes thru all the points
where y = 5/6
-------------------------
To be parallel to that line means the slope
must be zero.
The line passing thru (4,-4) with a slope
of zero is the line y = -4.
