Question 233618
one canned juice drink is 20% orange juice another is 10% orange juice.
-------------------------
how many liters of each should be mixed together in order to get 10L that is 16% orange juice?
Equation:
orange + orange = orange
0.20x + 0.10(10L-x) = 0.16*10L
Multiply thru by 100 to get:
20x + 10*10 - 10x = 16*10
10x = 6*10
x = 6L (amount of 20% juice in the mixture)
----------
10-6L = 4L (amount of 10% juice in the mixture)
