Question 233255
When graphing a quadratic equation why are there two x-intercepts and one y-intercept?
-----------
Sometimes there are 1 or no x-intercepts.
When it's the form y = x^2, there are 2 values of x for each value of y. 2^2 = 4, and (-2)^2 = 4
------------------
If it's x = y^2, the parabola is parallel to the x-axis, and there are 2 y-intercepts.
