Question 228495
{{{6-m/6-8=0}}}

Step 1. Multiply by 6 to both sides of the equation get rid of the denominator.

{{{6*6-6*m/6-6*8=6*0}}}

{{{36-m-48=0}}}

{{{-m-12=0

Step 2. Add m to both sides of the equation

{{{-m-12+m=0+m}}}

{{{-12=m}}} or {{{m=-12}}}

Step 3. To check solution, substitute {{{m=-12}}} into original equation {{{6-m/6-8=0}}}.

{{{6-(-12)/6-8=0}}}

{{{6+2-8=0}}}

{{{0=0}}} which is a true statement

Step 4.  Solution is {{{m=-12}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.
