Question 226312
{{{5(-2+8x)+2x=32}}}

Step 1. Multiply everything to get rid of the parenthesis

{{{-10+40x+2x=32}}}

Step 2. Add 10 to both sides of the equation

{{{-10+40x+2x+10=32+10}}}

{{{42x=42}}}

Step 3. Divide by 42 to both sides of the equation

{{{42x/42=42/42}}}

{{{x=1}}}

Step 4.  Check solution with original equation  {{{5(-2+8x)+2x=32}}}

{{{5(-2+8*1)+2*1=32}}}

{{{5*6+2=32}}}

{{{32=32}}} which is a true statement

Step 5.  ANSWER:  The solutions is {{{x=1}}}

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
