Question 226092
Graph {{{y=x/2-3}} by using the slope and y-intercept.

Step 1. The equation {{{y=x/2-3}} is in slope intercept form given as {{{y=mx+b}}} where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept when x=0 or at point (0,b). In this case, {{{m=1/2}}} and {{{b=-3}}} or y-intercept at (0,-3)

Step 2. Starting with the y-intercept at (0,-3) or x=0 and y=-3, we move two units to the right and one unit up since the slope is 1/2. This means we have another point at (0+2,-3+1) or (2, -2).

Step 3. Use the two points (0,-3) and (2,-2) to plot the line.

{{{graph(400,400, -10, 10, -10, 10, x/2-3)}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.
