Question 225470
Please help me factor this Trinomial.

{{{2x^3y+4x^2y^2-30xy^3}=?}}

Step 1. Find the common factor for numbers and in this case is 2.

{{{2x^3y+4x^2y^2-30xy^3=2*(x^3y+2x^2y^2-15xy)}}}

Step 2. Find the common factor for x-terms with the highest exponent and in this case it is x.

{{{2x^3y+4x^2y^2-30xy^3=2x(x^2y+2xy^2-15y)}}}

Step 3. Find the common factor for y-terms with the highest exponent and in this case it is y.

{{{2x^3y+4x^2y^2-30xy^3=2xy(x^2+2xy-15)}}}

Step 4.  ANSWER:  {{{2x^3y+4x^2y^2-30xy^3=2xy(x^2+2xy-15)}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.
