Question 224856
If the negative sign is outside of the absolute value what do I do to solve the problem. -|x|>8

If you look at the problem, you'll realize that there is no x-value that will make the inequality true. For instance, if x = 1,000,000, or - 1,000,000, the left side of the inequality WILL NEVER be greater than the right side.

Therefore, there are no solutions to this inequality, primarily because the left side of the inequality WILL ALWAYS yield a NEGATIVE VALUE, and whatever negative value that is, will NEVER be GREATER than 8.
