Question 225073
rewrite the equation so that y is a function of x

{{{y/5-7=-2x}}}

Step 1. Add 7 to both sides of the equation

{{{y/5-7+7=-2x+7}}}

{{{y/5=-2x+7}}}

Step 2. Multiply by 5 to both sides of the equation to get rid of denominator.

{{{5y/5=5*(-2x)+5*7}}}

{{{y=-10x+35}}}

Step 3.  ANSWER:  {{{y=-10x+35}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.
