Question 224737
Find the slope of the line and sketch the graph

{{y-6=0}}}

Step 1. Add 6 to both sides of the equation

{{{y-6+6=0+6}}}

{{{y=6}}}

Step 2. An equation in slope-intercept form is given as y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept when x=0 at (0,b).

Step 3. Comparing {{{y=6}}} with {{{y=mx+b}}} we have m=0 and b=6. So we have a horizontal line intersecting the y-axis at 6.

{{{graph(400,400,-10,10, -10, 10, 6)}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.
