Question 224608
Can some one please solve the problem 5(3x-2)-9(2+4x)-7=0 with workings

Step 1. Given, {{{5(3x-2)-9(2+4x)-7=0 }}} then get rid of the parenthesis and be careful with the minus -9 when multiplying.

{{{15x-10-18-36x-7=0}}}

Step 2. Combine the x-terms and the numbers as shown

{{{(15-36)x-10-18-7=0}}}

{{{-21x-35=0}}}

Step 3. Add 35 to both sides of the equation

{{{-21x-35+35=0+35}}}

{{{-21x=35}}}

Step 4. Divide by -21 to both sides of the equation

{{{-21x/-21=35/-21}}}

{{{x=-35/21}}}

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
