Question 224340
Graph the linear system and tell how many solutions it has. If there is exactly one solution, give the solution

4X-5Y=2
8X+Y=4

Step 1. Graphing the above linear system of equations yields the following

{{{graph(600,600, -10,10,-10,10, 4x/5-1/2, -8x+4)}}}

Step 2. Based on the above graph the intersection point is (0.5, 0) or x=0.5 and y=0.

Check if this point (0.5, 0) satisfies the above system of equations and it does.

Step 3. ANSWER: The intersection point (0.5, 0) is a solution to the above system of equations.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
