Question 224276
Find the coordinates of the two points on the given line, and then use those coordinates to find the slope of the line.

8x+3y=5

Step 1.  Let x=0, then 0+3y=5 or y=5/3.  So one point is (0, 5/3)

Step 2. Let y=0, then 8x+0=5 or x=5/8. The other point is (5/8,0).

Step 3.  The slope {{{m=(0-(5/3))/(5/8-0)=(-5/3)(8/5)=-8/3}}}

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
