Question 223544
How do you find the radius and diameter of a circle with an area of 35 in^2

Step 1.  The Area A of a circles is given as {{{A=pi*r^2=pi*(d/2)^2=pi*d^2/4}}} where r is the radius and d is the diameter.  Also diameter {{{d=2r}}}

Step 2.  Then {{{A=pi*r^2=35}}}

Step 3. Solving the equation in Step 2 leads to the following steps

Divide by {{{pi}}} to both sides of the equation

{{{r^2=35/pi}}}

Take the square root to both sides of the equation

{{{r=sqrt(35/pi)}}} and {{{d=2sqrt(35/pi)}}}

Step 4. ANSWER: Radius is {{{sqrt(35/pi)}}} and diameter is {{{2*sqrt(35/pi)}}}.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
