create the number 24 using the numbers 1, 3, 4, and 6.  You can add, subtract, multiply and divide.  You can use parentheses too. You can only use each digit once.  You cannot use exponents.  You can't do (14-6) x 3 .  
What I am now going to show is not a problem in mathematics.
This can be used in puzzle solving.That is all
(6-4)(3+1)=24 (ONLY A PUZZLE ANSWER AND THIS IS NOT MATHEMATICS!)
If you think of a multiplication sign between the brackets which is normally the case in algebra (when not all quantities within the brackets are constants and must contain atleast one variable) then this is not the answer!
