Question 220985
how do I graph x is equal to or less than 5 and x is equal to or greater than 3

Step 1. Graph each inequality and and see where they overlap.

Step 2.  Let's graph {{{x<=5}}}

{{{number_line( 600, -10, 10, 5, -10)}}}

The solution for this graph goes FROM the RED dot at x=5 TO and PASS the green dot at -10

Step 3.  Let's graph {{{ x>=3}}}

{{{number_line( 600, -10, 10, 3, 10)}}}

The solution for this graph goes FROM the RED dot at x=3 TO and PASS the green dot at +10.

Step 4. ANSWER: The solution is between the RED dot at x=3 and the GREEN dot at x=5 since the two inequalities in Steps 2 and 3 overlap this region between 3 and 5.

{{{number_line( 600, -10, 10, 3, 5)}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.
