Question 218735
{{{1/a + 1/b = c}}} "solve for a"

Step 1. Subtract 1/b from both sides of the equation

{{{1/a + 1/b-1/b = c-1/b}}}

{{{1/a=c-1/b}}}

Step 2. Take the reciprocal of both sides of the equation and simplify where {{{a=1/(1/a)}}}

{{{a=1/(c-1/b)}}}

{{{a=1/((cb-1)/b)}}}

{{{a=b/(cb-1)}}}

Step 3.  ANSWER IS {{{a=b/(cb-1)}}}

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
