Question 217507
{{{(11x + 3y) (x + 4y)}}}

Step 1. Multiply using the FOIL (multiply First, Outer, Inner, Last terms) method.

{{{(11x + 3y) (x + 4y)=11x*x+11x*4y+3y*x+3y*4y}}}

{{{(11x + 3y) (x + 4y)=11x^2+44xy+3yx+12y^2}}}

Step 2.  Combine like terms and in this example they are {{{44xy+3xy=47xy}}}

{{{(11x + 3y) (x + 4y)=11x^2+47xy+12y^2}}}

Step 3.  ANSWER:  {{{(11x + 3y) (x + 4y)=11x^2+47xy+12y^2}}}

I hope the above steps and explanation were helpful.
