Question 216064
If a checker board had 8 rows and 8 columns how many squares are there? If you doubled the amount of rows and columns, how many squares would there be? The answer is 204, but I do not know how they got this answer.
------------
8 times 8 = 64 squares.
If you double both, it's 16 by 16 = 256 squares.
------------------
I don't see how 204 is involved.
