Question 215548
A 2 w of power per square inch. 150 kW of power to function. To the nearest square meter, how many square meters are required?

Step 1. Let {{{I = P/A=2 W/inch^2}}} and {{{P =150 *10^3}}} W where P is the power and A is the area.

Step 2. Then {{{A=P/I}}}

Step 3.  Convert units of A in square inch to square meters where 2.54 cm = 1 inch = 0.0254 m.  Then,  1 inch * 1 inch = {{{0.0254 * 0.0254 = 6.451*10^(-4)}}}

Step 4. Then {{{A=P/I=150*10^3/(2*6.451*10^(-4))=1.163*10^8}}} square meters.

Step 5. ANSWER is {{{1.163*10^8}}} square meters.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
