Question 214400
Four people buy a large pizza of (X) pieces. If they split it evenly, how many pieces will each eat? 
My question to this is not the answer=x/4, but why can't it be 4/x?

There are x pieces.  Each person has 1/4, that's x/4.
------
Example:  12 pieces
Each person has 3 pieces, = 12/4.  4/12 is 1/3 of a piece.
