Question 214129
{{{ -2x^2+50=0 }}}

Step 1. Add {{{2x^2}}} to both sides of equation to isolate the x-terms on side and the numbers on the other side.

{{{ -2x^2+50+2x^2=0+2x^2 }}}

{{{50=2x^2}}}

Step 2. Divide 2 to both sides of equation

{{{50/2=2x^2/2}}}

{{{25=x^2}}}

Step 3. Take square root of both sides of equation

{{{sqrt(25)=sqrt(x^2)}}}

{{{5=x}}} and {{{-5=x}}}

Step 4. The solutions to this equation are +5 and -5.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
