Question 213905
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

I don't know what inte<b>r</b>gers are, so I will answer the question as if you asked about integers.

Let *[tex \Large x] represent the smaller even integer. Then the next consecutive even integer must be *[tex \Large x + 2]. Twice the larger is then *[tex \Large 2(x + 2) = 2x + 4]. Subtract the smaller is a difference of 10:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 2x + 4 - x\ =\ 10]

Solve the equation for *[tex \Large x] to get the value of the smaller integer, and then add 2 to get the value of the larger one.
