Question 213898
Find an equation for the line with y intercept 0 that is parallel yo y=2x-5.

Step 1. Lines are parallel is when the slopes are equal. The slope of y=2x-5 is in slope intercept form given as y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. For this example slope m=2 and y-intercept b=-5

Step 2. So the slope is m=2. We are given b=0 for the problem statement for the unknown line.

Step 3. Therefore, the equation is y=2x (ANSWER) and is parallel with y=2x-5.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
