Question 213877
Find x-intercept and y- intercept and graph

{{{3x-2y+8=0}}}

Step 1.  x-intercept occurs when y=0 and y-intercept occurs when x=0.

Step 2. So at x=0 then

{{{3*0-2y+8=0}}}

{{{8=2y}}}

{{{y=4}}} So y-intercept is 4 at point (0,4)

Step 3.  At y=0 then

{{{3x-2*0+8=0}}}

{{{3x=-8}}}

{{{x=-8/3}}}  So x-intercept is -8/3 at point (-8/3,0)

Step 4. Here's the graph and note the x-intercept and y-intercept points on the graph.
