Question 213461
The second angle of a triangular kite is four times as large as the first. The third angle is 5 more than the sum of the other two angles. Find the measure of the second angle.

Step 1. Let a be the first angle, 4a is the second angle, and 5+a+4a=5+5a be the third angle where a+5a=5a is the sum of the other two angles

Step 2. Sum of the angles of a triangle is equal to 180. So

{{{a+4a+5+5a=180}}}

The following steps solve the above equation.

*[invoke explain_simplification "a+4a+5+5a=180" ]

I hope the above steps were helpful.
