Question 213020
Graph the equation and identify the y intercept

{{{y= 3x/2 + 2}}}

The y intercept is?

Step 1. The y-intercept occurs when x=0. Substitute x=0 in above equation

{{{y= 3x/2+ 2}}}

{{{y= 3/2*0 + 2}}}

{{{y=2}}}

Step 2. The y-intercept is 2.  Note the slope m = {{{3/2}}}

Step 3. The graph of this line follows:

{{{graph(300,300,-5,5,-5, 5, 3x/2+2)}}}

I hope the above steps were useful.
