Step 1.  Distribute -1 in this term:  {{{-(-7-5i)=-1(-7-5i)=7+5i}}} in

Step 2.  Add the real and imaginary terms to yield


{{{(-5-6i)- (-7-5i)= 2-i}}}


Step 3.   ANSWER in standard firm is 2-i
