Step 1.  Take the square root to both sides of equation


{{{sqrt(x^2)=sqrt(361)}}}


{{{x=+sqrt(361)=19}}}
 

AND


{{{x=-sqrt(361)=-19}}} 


Step 2.  The solutions are x=19 and x=-19
