Question 212880
To graph equations in standard form as these are, I think the easiest way to graph is the TWO-Intercept Method. Find the intercepts for each equation, and graph them:

x+y=13

If x=0, then y=13
If y=0, then x=13

x-y=5
If x=0, then y=-5
If y=0, then x=5

Now graph these points and connect the dots!!! It should look like this:

{{{graph(300,300, -15,15, -15,15, 13-x,x-5)}}}

The lines intersect in a single point, so the system is said to be "Independent". The solution is the point (9,4).
