Question 212269
{{{2x/3+9=-7}}}

Step 1. Multiply by 3 to both sides of equation to get rid of denominator.

{{{2(3)x/3+3*9=(-7)*3}}}

{{{2x+27=-21}}}

Step 2. Subtract -27 from both sides of equation.

{{{2x+27-27=-21-27}}}

{{{2x=-48}}}

Step 3. Divide by 2 to both sides of equation to get x.

{{{2x/2=-48/2}}}

{{{x=-24}}}

Step 4.  Answer is x=-24.

I hope the above steps were helpful.

And good luck in your studies!

Dr J
