Question 212530
Simplify the following:

{{{sqrt(68)+sqrt(28)-sqrt(1/7)}}}.

Multiply {{{sqrt(7)}}} to get rid of denominator in last term and then simplify.

note that 68=4*17 28=4*7 and {{{sqrt(4)=2}}}

{{{sqrt(7)(sqrt(68)+sqrt(28)-sqrt(1/7))}}}=

{{{sqrt(7)sqrt(17*4)+sqrt(7)sqrt(4*7)-sqrt(7)/sqrt(7)}}}=

{{{2sqrt(7*17)+2sqrt(7*7)-1}}}=

{{{2sqrt(119)+2*7-1}}}=

{{{2sqrt(119)+13}}}

I hope the above steps were helpful.

Good luck in your studies!

Respectfully,
Dr J
