Let x = number of children's tickets


Since there were 75 tickets total, the number of adult tickets is the total 75 minus the number of children's tickets x:


75-x = number of adult tickets.


The total value of the tickets equals the sum of the value of each ticket sold times the number of each ticket:

2*x+7.50*(75-x) = 408.50
