Question 212452
Q.4 (every step)  Solve: 3y-5=3-2y

Step 1.  Given

{{{3y-5=3-2y}}}

Step 2. The goal is to get the variables terms on one side and the numbers on the opposite side. So let's start with adding 5 to both sides of equation.

{{{3y-5+5=3-2y+5}}}

{{{3y=3-2y+5}}}

{{{3y=8-2y}}}

Step 3. Now add 2y to both sides of equation to get rid of the y-terms on the right and isolate the y on the left side.

{{{3y+2y=8-2y+2y}}}

{{{5y=8}}}

Step 4. Now, divide by 5 in both sides of equation

{{{5y/5=8/5}}}

{{{y=8/5}}}

Step 5.  Answer is y=8/5

Hope the steps were helpful. Good luck in your studies.
Respectfully,
Dr J
