Question 210753
{{{4<-8-x<7}}}
Break it up into two inequalities, solve for x, then combine them back at the end.
Inequality #1:
{{{4<-8-x}}}
Add +8 to each side of inequality:
{{{12<-x}}}
Multiply each side by -1 *NOTE* you need to flip the inequality when you multiply each side by a negative number:
{{{x<-12}}}
Inequality #2:
{{{-8-x<7}}}
Add +8 to each side of inequality:
{{{-x<15}}}
Multiply by -1:
{{{x>-15}}}
Now, just combine these 2 inequalities into 1:
{{{highlight(-15<x<-12)}}}
