Question 208565
Please help me solve {{{x^2+7x-11=0}}}
Use the quadratic formula to get:
x = [-7 +- sqrt(49 - 4*1*-11)]/2
x = [-7 +- sqrt(93)}/2
--------------------------------------------------------
The hint tells me to type a simplified fraction. Type exact answers, using radicals as needed. Rationalize all denominators. Express complex numbers in terms of i. Use commas to separate as needed.
-----------------------------------------------------

Then I need to find the x-intercepts of {{{f(x)=x^2+7-11}}}
Let x^2 + 7x -11 = 0
Solve for x and you will get the same answers as
I did when I used the quadratic formula.
