Question 207131
A team of researchers are observing a herd of migrating caribou. The herd traveled 12 miles 81 yards during a 3-day period. What was the average distance covered by the caribou herd each day?
-------------
The average is the total/3
avg = 4 miles 27 yards.
-------------
BTW, that's ridiculous data. Did the measure the distance of the center of the herd? Migrating caribou might stretch of a few miles, how could they have measured the 81 yards?
