Question 205763
I already have an answer to this, but just want to make sure I did it right. The problem is cubed root of x - 5=3. I came up with 512. The cubed root of 512 is 8. When I check my work and put 8 in for x, it's the cubed root of 512=8-5=3. Am I right? I am not sure how to write it out for you on the computer. I hope you understand the problem.
---------
If it's
cube root(x) - 5 = 3, then your answer is right.
----------
If it's
cube root (x-5) = 3
then
x-5 = 27
x = 32
