Question 201642
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

The volume of a pyramid is given by the product of the area of the base times the height divided by 3. In the new pyramid, the height is 3 times larger, and the area of the base is calculated using two of the pyramid's dimensions so it is 3 times 3 = 9 times larger. Therefore, the new volume must be 3 X 9 = 27 times larger than the old volume.
