In an equation in the form y=MX+B, M is the slope of the curve and B is the value of y when x=0.

it is possble to have 2 or more equations for a same line for different values of x.
Example:

  y = Mx + C for 0<x<5
& y = Nx+ D for 5<=x

(M & N are two different values of slope of the same graph.)
