Question 198230
OK..well, im working on a lesson of where I am learning how to graph sin, and cos by finding the amplitude, period, x-intercepts, and phase shift. can you help me undersrtand what they mean by graphing it because i don't really know how to...example: y= -3cos(x+pi/4)
-----------------
To graph that, or any function, make a table of points.
Pick values of x and solve for y. Each pair is a point.
Use Excel or something similar to speed things up.
Plots the points on graph paper, or a grid of some sort.
Connect the points with a line. The more points you have, the smoother the curve will be.
