Question 197153
Please help me answer this question: a=5,c=10
use a^2+b^2=c^2
In the directions it says to find the missing length of the right triangle if a and b are the lengths of the legs and c is the length of the hypotenuse. I tried to work out the problem but didn't get a perfect square, instead I got the square root of 75 as my answer.
------------
That is correct.
b = sqrt(75)
That can be simplified:
b = sqrt(25*3)
b = 5sqrt(3)
