Use the rule:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ a^{\frac{n}{m}}= \sqrt[m]{a^n} = \left(\sqrt[m]{a}\right)^n]

So:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ 32^{\frac{4}{5}}= \left(\sqrt[5]{32}\right)^4]

Now you can either start punching buttons on your calculator, or just realize that *[tex \LARGE 2^5 = 32] and *[tex \LARGE 2^4 = 16] to be able to write:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \left(\sqrt[5]{32}\right)^4 = 2^4 = 16]
