Question 190024
<font face="Garamond" size="+2">

If she wants to get at least 90 as an average, the six grades (the four she already has plus the two she gets for the final) must add up to at least 6 times 90 or 540. So add up the 4 scores she has, subtract that from 540, and divide the result by 2. So if <i>x</i> is the grade on the final, then:

*[tex \LARGE \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \  x \geq \frac{540 - (88 + 92 + 83 + 76)}{2}]

You can do your own arithmetic, but you should find that she can't get there from here.
