Question 189172
Please help! I just started this class and it has been over thirty years. Could you check them over please!
1. (y-2)(y2^+2y+4)
I think you're supposed to multiply these, and put the result in descending order of exponents.
(y-2)(y2^+2y+4)
= {{{y^3 - 8}}}
----------------
Type the terms in descending order
(My Answer) y2-8 close, exponent 3 tho.
-----------------
2. (x^6-11x 3^ +30) divide (x 3^-5)
{{{(x^6 - 11x^3 + 30)/(x^3 - 5)}}}
= {{{x^3 - 6}}}
----------------
3. (x 8^-3) + (x 8^ + 3)
If it's a plus sign, it's 2x^8.
If you meant to multiply, it's
x^16 - 9
----------------
Simplify your answer
( My answer) x16^
------------------
4. (x5^+4)(x+6)
= {{{x^6 + 6x^5 + 4x + 24}}}
-------------------------------
Type the term in descending order)
( My answer)x6^ +6x5+4x+24
Same answer, mine's neater tho.
-------------------
Your notation isn't always clear. Use x^6 for x to the 6th power, etc.
