Question 188295
Can you help me solve this inequality? This is the question:
Option 1: C=_3x+32________________
Option 2: C=__6.50x_______________
How many hours would you have to rent the court so that the monthly cost of option 1, is less than option 2. Set up an inequality and show your work algebraically using the information in part a. Round to 3 decimal places if necessary.

This is what I have gotten so far:
32+3x<6.50x
---
Comment: Try to keep the coefficient of the variable positive so
you don't have to flip the inequality.
---
Subtract 3x from both sides to get:
32 < 3.5x
---
Divide both sides by 3.5 to get:
x > 32/3.5
x > 9.143 hours.
