Question 185492
Solve for x
(x+1)^2+2(x-2)=(x+1)(x-2)
I have been stuck on this problem for hours. I keep working it but it just doesn't seem to come out right.
The answer I get is x= -2/5
I'm not sure what I keep doing wrong. Please help. Thanks
-------------------
(x+1)^2+2(x-2)=(x+1)(x-2)
x^2+2x+1 +2x-4 = x^2-x-2
4x-3 = -x-2
5x = 1
x = 1/5
