Question 182271
2x - y = 3 This is what i have so far but it doesn't compute
2y = 4x - 6
2x - 4x - 6 = 3
-2x - 6 = 3 divide the -2 and the 6 by -2 to get
-2x/-2 = 9/-2
x = -9/2
2y = 4(-9/2) - 6
2y = -36/2 - 6
2y = -36/2 or -18 + -6
y = -24
the answer I get is (-9/2, -24)
but when I plug them back into the equations, they don't compute. Please help
