Please help me solve this derivative!:
{{{f(x)=2x^2+4x}}}, the answer is suppose to be 4x+4

Write {{{4x}}} as {{{4x^1}}}

Then for each term use this rule:

To find the derivative of a monomial in x:

1. Multiply the exponent by the coefficient
2. Add -1 to the exponent.

To find the derivative of the first term {{{2x^2}}}

1. Multiply the exponent {{{2}}} by the coefficient {{{2}}} getting 4
2. Add -1 to the exponent, getting 1 for the exponent,

So for the derivative of the first term we have {{{4x^1}}} or just {{{4x}}}

To find the derivative of the second term {{{4x^1}}}

1. Multiply the exponent {{{1}}} by the coefficient {{{4}}} getting 4
2. Add -1 to the exponent, getting 0 for the exponent,

So for the second term we have {{{4x^0}}} and since anything
to the zero power is {{{1}}}, this is just 4.

So we have:

{{{matrix(1,3,"f'(x)", "=", 4x + 4)}}}
