Question 181379
Using the equation -3x+y=15, we have:
y=3x+15
+++
Substituting this to 2x+3y=1,
2x+3(3x+15)=1
2x+(9x+45)=1
11x+45=1
11x=-44
x=-4
+++
Solving for y,
y=3(-4)+15=-12+15=3
